As a man grows older, he begins to feel the need for companionship, to enter into a relationship with another who can share his love of sunbathing, rocks, and, uh, mealworms.
I just met Manuel yesterday, so I know this seems sudden, but I think I love him. Or her. (A leopard gecko's gender is indeterminate until later in life.)
Since we are living together, he asked about my blog, and so I let him write a guest entry:
Did you purchase this lizard? Or receive it as a gift? Or simply happen upon it while walking through the forest?
Posted by: lee at March 21, 2006 11:50 AMi've heard that when people fall in love they begin to look like one another.
Posted by: jeremy at March 21, 2006 12:53 PMlee, i actually purchased it. Sharpley took his puppy to Petsmart to look for toys, and i began browsing. i've always wanted a lizard friend, and when Manuel hissed at me and peed on my hand, i knew he would be mine.
jeremy, i certainly hope so.
