More on Spain:It looks like Spain will be leaving Iraq as of July, according to the prime minister-elect. Supporters of the war in Iraq who have linked this war to the wider war on terrorism see this as Spain joining "old Europe" such as Germany and France. Of course, if one sees that Iraq had nothing to do with the threat we face from al Queda, then the loss of Spain from the Iraq coalition is just a case of Spain gaining some common sense. In this article from the Washington Post, we see that France and Germany are calling for meetings to deal with what could be the start of a campaign of terror by al Queda in Europe. I don't think the Europeans are sticking their heads in the sand about this. Europe doesn't want to see more Madrids. What the United States should be doing is trying to work with Europe to prevent al Queda from ever having any more tradgedies like we saw last Thursday.
Those Bush Ads..I haven't really said anything about the Bush 9/11 ads. I really don't see anything wrong with them. Like Bush or not, Bush's teeth were cut on 9/11 and of course he is going to use that for political gain. To my Democratic friends who think that Bush has hit a new low, I take you to a recent column by David Broder, who talks about how FDR used WWII to bolster his own prospects in 1944. Let he that is without sin...
The New Site:So, you see that the Moderate Republican blog is appearing on the old Republicans for Dean site. This is a test to see how things will go here. I like Moveable Type over Blogger so this might just be permanent. The only downside that I'm getting a deluge of spam in the comments. Let me know what you think.
