There is yet another article about a Kerry-McCain ticket, a straight news story from the New York Times. What's fascinating this time around is that there are Democrats who literally want McCain on the ticket, even some fellow contenders for the number two spot.
Earlier, I commented how some polls that had McCain beating many other VP contenders. Folks, maybe it's time to pay attention to this.

And, I've written a few where the words recipe are to that same point, but although I can hear tattoo music to set them to, it's nothing solid, or it web hosting isn't fully Right. That's weird for me

Posted by: mcdit2004 at May 15, 2004 05:02 PMIn the meanwhile Democratic senator Zell Miller from Georgia has gone on the attack for the Bush/Cheney ticket, calling Kerry an 'ultraliberal' northerner. Miller's the only major Democrat who's standing for Bush.
How did it get to this? Here's a solomonic solution: trade Miller for McCain. Even swap, one senator for the other.
btw, dorsano, the Republicans view Democrats as too corrupt and beholden to special interests?! Ahem. Just who is in the Saudis pocket anywho?... And who's in Halliburton's pocket, eh?... Let's be fair. BOTH PARTIES are beholden to their special interests, and as the legalized bribery system known as campaign funding remains as it is we'll never see the end of all that corruption on both sides of the aisle!...
One more thing: there's a lot of Republicans who still respect McCain. It's just that none of them are in the White House power structure right now...
Yes, this article was pretty convincing that this might be a possibility. The respect and friendship between Kerry & McCain might be enough to shake things up.
I'm still not clear on what this accomplishes though - I think Democrats admire and respect and McCain more than Republicans do.
Bush is toast either way (in my opinion). I think that Republicans will still view Democrats as corrupt and too beholden to special interests.
but maybe the only way to move forward is with baby steps.
