The Religion of George W. Bush

There is an interesting piece from last fall in the Christian evangelical magazine, Sojourners. It explains Bush's worldview especially in while in the White House. While I disagree with their pooh-poohing of the terrorist threat (especially after reading today's news), editor Jim Wallis does make a point of how Bush's worldview is more civic religion than it is the religion of the Gospels. Anyway, it is a worthwhile read.

The only thing George W.Bush believes is money. Money for friends. Money from the budget are going directly into friend's pockets (Hulliburton) He does not believe in anything good that is for sure.

Life in Basrah (where the US is transforming all them Arabs and Muslims and by extention transforming all them Arabs and Muslims in the Middle East and transforming Islam in general and shaming Bin-Laden into abondoning his Jihad by gifting all them Arabs and Muslims with Democracy - and demonstrating that our policy in Iraq is a template for effecting positive change around the world) ...

"Anyway, it wasn't just the heat, I was also greeted with bullets. As soon as I had entered the hospital, suitcase in hand, the sinister familiar sound of AK-47's ringed all around me. I charged for the doctors residence and for a moment I thought the hospital was under attack. FPS guards hurriedly closed the gates while others were running back and forth in the hospital yard shouting to each other obviously in panic. From the sound of it I gathered that a fierce battle was taking place just outside and I started considering whether I should just flee from behind. A few injured people caught in the cross fire were brought into the emergency hall, and some women were wailing."
