Posted by: acrobat at October 19, 2005 11:02 AMPersonally, as far as the previous election goes, I think the Democrats had Kerry run for a reason, or at least they didn't think he would win. They want Hillary Clinton in office, that's simple. If Kerry (and come on, Kerry didn't exactly make himself look good, if thats the best he could do than does ANYONE really want him in there for eight whole years!?) had won the presidency then it would be pointless for Clinton to run when the next election in four years rolled around because the democrat votes would be split up between the two of them, and a republican would win, in theory. But if Pr. Bush won again and then in four years he wouldn't be able to run again, there would be a fresh candicate and Clintan would have a chance. That would be the best plan anyway, to wait it out and take the blow then move in for the kill when no ones looking. It would explain the Democrats self-destruction in the previous election. Remember, "Never underestimate your emeny." I feel it suites it well.
Posted by: Irene at February 4, 2005 12:58 AMa real candidate might help.
the democrats missed a chance to put up a moderate in leiberman.
the republicans had an incumbent during a war.
i think that the dems will continue to self destruct. they havent offered anything to vote FOR in a long time. they are still spinning and the election is over.

Posted by: CaliforniaVoter at November 14, 2004 05:51 PMdont forget about the left wing extremists also. a move to the middle doesnt mean that the democrats are right. both parties are nuts.
Posted by: mike at November 14, 2004 05:37 PMI'm not a Republican, but it seems to me that many of the things that you stand for: a woman's right to choice, environmental responsibility, separation of church and state, etc are also in keeping with my views...but I am called a "Left Wing Liberal" by your party! (Not that I care...) How can moderate Repubs. and Dems +others work together to get our country back on track from right-wing extremists that want to roll back our freedoms and plunder the environment? (among other damaging things...) Do you feel that the GOP still represents you?
