I'm still taking some time off blogging, but I felt I needed to pass along and entry I found from the Moderate Voice. Joe shares his reflections on the recent tsunami that has left over 60,000 dead in Asia and parts of Africa. He also shares his harrowing experience of an aftershock in Mexico City following a massive earthquake that struck the city in 1985. Go read this.
Also, here is a list of relief agencies that you can contribute to so that they can help those affected by this disaster.
Posted by Dennis at December 29, 2004 08:43 AMState of Alaska actually has a Moderate Republican Party with which I am registered.
I view myself as a libertarian, but the Libertarian Party seems obsessed with legalizing drugs. The GOP has gone too far down the religious right road, and the GOP tends to sponsor BIG Government at the expense of personal freedoms. I continue to support Bush, but primarily because I have no other option.
Posted by: tepsa at January 2, 2005 04:42 PMI must say... I've been following this blog for a couple of months now, and I'm impressed by the level of - dare I say it - Moderation :) I'm a registered Independant, with a pretty liberal take on social issues and a more conservative bent on fiscal issues and while I haven't agreed with every position or perspective on this blog, I admire the blog administrator for his forward thinking attitude. Keep it up in 2005...
