Movie Pitch: Dandy Fops
“Dandy Fops” Two heavyset African American females (played by Star Jones) pose as country gentlemen in Wales in order to swindle a kind elderly lady out of her estate, her spunky young punk-rock daughter (Kiera Knightly) gets wise to their plan with hilarious results. An alcoholic, suicidal, gay butler mediates between the two, he’s the only one who can see how in love they are with each other. Tagline: “They had it all planned out. What they didn’t count on was falling in Love.” Jones and Knightly pretend to fall in love while filming the movie and the tabloids call them “Starry kNight”, its for PUBLICITY.
