A couple of things right-off: Atlblogs doesn't start indexing your blog right away. We're a grassroots place-and-city-centered blogging service, so we like to add new bloggers to our little "club" on a case-by-case basis. But, if you're in any way associated with Atlanta, and your blog doesn't violate our TOS, have no fear, you're just a few steps away from getting in. If, however, you're not associted with Atlanta, don't count on getting indexed on Atlblogs.

But onwards, while this means more work for us, and a tiny little insignificant wait for you to get your blog indexed, it means that you'll be talking to a real person from start to finish. It also means you'll already have a connection with someone at Atlblogs who you can shoot an e-mail off to whenever you have a question about the indexing of your blog. We think it's a better setup all around this way.

So, if you want to have your blog indexed on atlblogs.com, you've got a few things to take care of. First, you should check out our comments on The Official Terrablog regarding the indexing of non-Terrablogs blogs. You can find those comments here. Second, you should make sure that your feed is a valid RSS or ATOM feed to insure that we will be able to index it. If you can't get it perfectly valid don't sweat it too much, we may still be able to index it. However, if it's too bad we'll have to come back to you to get it fixed. The W3C provides a tool for validation here. Third, you'll need to fill out this form with a little info about yourself. This form simply sends us an e-mail and none of your information is given to anyone. We hate spam and popups just like you do.

Oh, and if you would rather just sign up for a free blog that will be indexed on Atlblogs you can do that here. No blog ads. No popups. We can also transfer all your posts from your old blog to your new blog.
